By default, the TV screen is set to a website. To control the website, you use the remote that's on the coffee table by the sofa. However, if you want to watch Netflix or even play games, you'll have to switch to desktop mode.
To toggle between different modes, press the "T" key on your keyboard.
Once you are in desktop mode, you can even play games!
